I thought the TNT/TNT2 was the most painless 3D card to use in Linux. My
Voodoo3 has many limitations. Anyway, to answer your question: NVidia has
their own open-sourced X server which should be available on their
website. It even includes hardware accelerated OpenGL/GLX (fire up those
XMMS plugins :)
