Hey guys
I figured out the solution. It was a silly mistake on my part.
I did not assign rights to others as well as to group for the perticular
shares.
thnx

I m a sort of beginer to linux / unix environment. I hav just
recently added a linux system to our windows NT network. Now I m facing problem
of accesing share from linux system.
Detail of the problem.
On trying to connect to shared directory \home\nipsco ( Which
is on linux system ) from windows nt system. I get an error msg.. " \\redhat\nipsco is not accesible. Network path
not found." Where nipsco is home directory for user nipsco & RedHat is
name of the linux system. I m trying to access this directory from user
inmail.
Settings done in smb.conf are
1 ) security = server
2 ) Password Server is set as PDC of
Windows NT.
3 ) Valid users =
root, nipsco, inmail ( this I have done in shared setup for nipsco
)
Can Some One help me to resolve this Problem....
Thnx |
