Hi, How does one enable shared memory support under the current development kernels? (I'm using 2.3.99-pre1, I have 2.3.99-pre2 it doesnt seem to compile correctly). Here's what i've tried so far: In 'make menuconfig', i said Yes to Sys V IPC, then I added the following entry to /etc/fstab: none /var/shm shm defaults 0 0 (I created the mount point /var/shm). However, GIMP still isn't able to use shm and runs awfully slowly as a result. Any help would be greatly appreciated! - YoGeSh [P.S: Just in case anyone's interested: With the latest kernel versions (2.3.51+), USB support has improved vastly. Especially, a lot of issues with the complex UHCI driver have been resolved, and thus several devices (including my HP 4100C scanner) are finally working superbly under Linux!] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Yogesh Krishna Ginde WWW: http://yogeshginde.tripod.com/ Tel: +91-022-4464967/4448501/98212 20914 To subscribe / unsubscribe goto the site www.ilug-bom.org ., click on the mailing list button and fill the appropriate information and submit.
