1. AMD k6-2 ...and above :-) { forget abt. anything else }
2. HDD ( recommend 8.4 + especially if installing two OS's)
3. RAM 64MB + ( I use 32 MB happily under Linux)
4. SoundCard ( please choose one suppoted by LINUX ... else u'll be stuck
writing Device drivers like me)
5. CD ( creative... whichever 48x + )
6. Display.... I use cirrus logic 5465 AGP with 4mb... no
complains....( costs ~ 1200 )
notes:
with AMD k62 if U wish to use win95... U have to use win95 B & apply update
( got it with me - forgot where I downloaded it from )
fulfills all Ur requirements stated - Good choice - AMD !!!!
BTW: recommend spend extra & go for the ASUS (P5A ) m/b. It's worth it.
