PNGs have transparency - 256 levels of transparency. If you get gif2png
it will convert gifs to pngs with transparency. gimp does it too. Of
course, you wouldn't notice it if you use Netscape, cause netscape hasn't
realised that pngs are transparent. (IE does recognise it, but only one
level).
