I am a linux newbie using RHL 6.1 from PCQ Nov 99 CD on following machine,
P60-32MB RAM-1.3GB ext2 partition
In order to optimise my kernel (and more out of curiosity) I am trying to
compile my customized kernel. My problem is,
"make xconfig", "make menuconfig", "make dep", "make zImage" commands abort
with messages like file stdio.h,stdlib.h, string.h,.... not found.
Only "make config" works, but I can not proceed beyond that.
I have proper links at /usr/include for 'linux' & 'asm' as described in
README.
I have following RPMs on my m/c which I guess have to do something for above
problem-
kernelsource 2.2.12-20, kernelheaders 2.2.12-20, egcs 1.1.2-24, dev86
0.14.7-1.
Can anybody kindly suggest me a way out?
