Hey ,
I guess the man pages have not been updated. It is known that
Linux manpages are not updated frequently. (The how-to Funda) There was a
huge discussion abt this on the comp.linux group. One group for man pages
and one for a texinfo version. Last I heard was that the man pages ppl
won :)
