Embeded products is my main interest. Are any of you hacks upto it? Would require you to mess up your hands, burn lips (not love bug) and fingers etc. A bare bones linux kernel will occupy about 4mb- thats one flash card and require about 4mb ram. The cpu would be NS geode (allinone 486 chip) or Intel SAA1100. The SAA1100 is a power miser and powerful. Also small 8~20 pin microcontrollers running a communication and i/o program is required on every sensor, light bulb etc. We already do the above (the main controller is 8051 based) and can hook to a PC. Of course all software is in asembly.
