I have the same model hdd. I am using Linux & Win95 very easily.
My current partition scheme is like this.
1st partition primary fat16 2 GB
2nd partition primary ext2 2GB
3rd partition primary swap 70MB
4th partition extended fat32 12GB
This partiton is further divided into several partitions.
I used the Win 95 Fdisk to setup the first 2GB partition. Then I used the
fdisk that comes with SUSE to setup the rest of the partitions. I have also
previously used a utility called partition manager 2.38 beta to setup up my
previous schemes. It is a freeware utility. It's available at download.com.
Only the beta version supports hdd's above 8GB. So you can give it a shot.
