Considering that there are so many developers out there that do not bother to make their sites work properly across the major browsers and OSes, (some commercial sites such as airline companies refuse to work with firefox), expecting them to care about testing it on other devices would be expecting too much. But then again, in a round about way, we are here because they do not take enough care.
