You will also require to pay conveyance (INR 100.00) to speakers (typically 2-4). Here is the outline of the seminar. 1. Free and Open Source Philosophy. 2. GNU/Linux OS architecture 3. CLI and GUI in GNU/Linux 4. What is a GNU/Linux Distribution 5. GNU/Linux installation basic 6. GNU/Linux File system Layout 7. GNU/Linux Applications - Productivity, Games, Graphics, Multimedia, Development, Embedded, Clusters, Grids, Super Computing, Internet Access, Various types of Servers/Services. 8. Getting Help / Help Resources - Manual Pages, Howto Documents, TLDP.org, Mailing Lists, Local LUGs, Google and many on-line resources. Duration: 1 Day (9:30am - 18:00pm) Date (Proposed):28th Jan 2006 / 4th Feb. 2006 / 18th Feb. 2006 Venue: Decided by organiser. Equipments: 1/2 PCs with projection to be provided by organiser. I for one is available for speaking on the proposed dates or any other mutually agreed dates. I would invite other speakers to come forward and put their name in front of the preferred topic(s). And please don't flame for top posting.
