There is nothing wrong with telling a newbie to RTFM or Google for his 
problems. Thats how things are in the *nix world. This isn't paid 
support that we should get off our lazy arses and spoonfeed teh 
newbies :)

Besides, its become the habit of this list to pick up a seemingly 
unrelated and trivial point and create a huge (useless) discussion over 
it. Nobody is an exception to this.
