Seen it. Looks cool, not useful for the way I work (one desktop per
fullscreen app + one for the rest of the stuff). Good for people used
to the MS Windows or MacOS interface way of doing things.

Oh, and I believe XGL doesn't do the 3D desktop thing remotely (or not
very well)?
