Yes and the precise reason I posted that was because Billy boi is 
against hobbyists and I hate him for that. But if you look carefully, 
he has a point. Professional software does need to be an organized and 
paid effort. Perhaps that was the outlook in 1980s but that has 
certainly changed now, hasn't it? Linux kernel being an excellent 
example. What I am trying to convey is that don't stereotype users in 
either Windoze or the Linux camp. Both camps have their set of fanatics 
who are really no use to their respective communities.

No. That is absolutely wrong. We need better educated users thats for 
sure but the software shouldn't be difficult so that only developers / 
advanced users can use it. The whole point of the adopting FOSS in 
India is to bring computing to the masses, isn't it ;).

Umm...UNIX was never meant to be used by end users. It was always an OS 
for the engineers / developers / programmers / students. UNIX has a 
completely different role than Windows. UNIX was intended for the 
servers while Windows was always intended for the PC / Client / End 
user.
