Which version of Edubuntu do you have? With Edubuntu v 6.06, there is a CD called the Desktop CD which is both an install & live CD. I think you got the Install CD instead of that. You can order Edubuntu CDs from http://shipit.edubuntu.org/ or download the Desktop CD from http://releases.ubuntu.com/edubuntu/6.06/
