Hello,
Can anyone tell me which router will work best for MTNL TriBand and
Linux? MTNL has provided following list on their website
[http://mumbai.mtnl.net.in/triband/htm/tri_faq.htm#11]
# D Link 502 T
# Comtrend CT-564
# Westell A –90-30199-07
# Zyxel Prestige 660 H –61
# Erricsson HM410c
# Xavi(7722+)
I do not have any USB port on my home machine (its old celeron 550
machine), just ethernet.
Stick to dlink. Sofar no failures in my installations. The dlink tech
guys were able to tell me how to configure the modem for a bsnl link.
And dlink service center at BKC Kalina was ready to solve problems.
Avoid the small white box by a chinese company (cant remember the
model / co.) like the plague.
Another reason to use the Dlink is that it has a linux os and you can
actually ssh into it and made changes and modification.
It has its own firewall, etc that can be set for minor use. For a very
good control on your firewall, naturally it should be on your server
where you have full control.
Rajeev R K showed these to me when we were setting up the same at one of
my clients office.
The white box chinese thing does not have any of these.
