that my X is not working for some reason. When I startx, it appears with
blank screen and show my monitor (LG 17" 700S) frequency range box and
comes right back to prompt. I attempted reconfiguring X with 800x600,
This generally happens when your X configuration is not supported by
your monitor. Check the following config options:
1) Your monitor sync and refresh rates. Check your monitor manual and
verify in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 in the "Monitor" section
2) max/min resolution that you're trying to use. Generally 1024x768
with 24bit color is widely supported. You can check this in the
"Screen" section of the config file.

I read /var/log/messages, but could not understand much. dmesg does not
contain any information that I could use. I am attaching herewith
/var/log/XFree86.0.log, and XF86Config files herewith for your information.
Please avoid posting such large files. In this case the more useful
lines in the log file are ones that start with (WW) or (EE) as they
indicate warnings and errors respoectively.
