I have this thought in my mind to compile a kernel,
because, one of my cousin brother suggested that I
should surely try it out. He said, "it is great fun".
But for sometime(or for a longtime), I won't be trying
it out. (till I complete my PG)
I would however, be migrating to Kubuntu, as soon as I
purchase a new hdd.

:) My system is older than one would think. One could
also compare it as having Windows 98 on a Intel 915 /
P4 3.06 Ghz with 512 MB of RAM ;)...(I donno, whether
it works too..:-/)... I have been upgrading only
Firefox on RH9. Rest, remain as they were from CD, as
they serve my needs best.
