i made this comment from practical experience of spending several
years on the sql-ledger mailing list - it is amazing how much
creative chartered accountants were able to tweak the software by
working on the source code. I have also deployed custom accounting
software in a live environment and believe me, it is exhilarating to
watch the users developing and making most use of your code. I am not
intending to flame you - this is the difference between the foss way
of thinking and the closed source way
