I use system-config-soundcard to set the sound card volume levels to full. Then did: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ sudo /sbin/alsactl store 1 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ sudo /sbin/alsactl restore 1 On running system-config-soundcard the volumes are again at the mid-point of the bar.
I believe you should use store 0 and restore 0
