I guess the RAM could be the culprit. But I am not sure. How do I find out if RAM is the problem? memtest? Umm...the harddisk is pretty new and I would expect to see a lot of read / write time outs in dmesg if the harddisk was dying or had bad sectors. Nothing like that except that SCSI message.
