It should take around 30 min or so not including the commute time.
Ofcourse remember to carry the original documents and the photocopies
too. You found find a photocopier close by.

Since original documents are needed for verification, I dont see how
you can avoid the trip.

I am sure you already know this but the USB dongle is not a mere flash
drive.  The dongle allows you to provide your digital signature without
installing the certificate in each PC's Internet Explorer where you
wish to use it. Yes, internet explorer. 

Those guys are pretty good and helpful actually. From the counter staff
to the asst director level person. the peon lady too. Maybe the effects
of being in a kickass location.

Sidenote: Arent you late for applying for this? Depending on your
application ofcourse. Because tax return deadline as well as ROC
deadline both have expired.
