Anyways, fdisk would only *list* the (ext3/ext2)
partition as Non-DOS when you select option [4].
It does on Windows 2000 (and later) but not on Win98. Atleast that's
what I recollect. It's been over 2 years since I've removed Windows
from my home PC :)

IIRC, the OP's post was about viewing (contents) of
the Kubuntu Partition.
I felt that the issues of viewing partitions (or contents) was related
to the OP not being able to see the partitions on Windows to be able
to delete them.
