That is low even for 256kbps. You should get 29 to 30 KBytes per
second -230~240kbps. download from different servers to check that
it's not a server bottlenck.
are the numbers that appear on the download manager any indication of
speed? If you are downloading say 6 files at the same time, and the all
show the same speed - what does that indicate?
