This has been covered before on this list. Just tell your laptop
dealer to give you the laptop with no OS and to reduce the cost. One
of my friends did that in Bangalore and he got an IBM thinkpad with no
OS on it.
When i asked the toshiba guys to give me the laptop minus windows they
plainly refused. It seems toshiba recommends only windows. :(
