Ofcourse, as mentioned in one of the earlier BoF's,
Elementary education needs to concentrate on logic and
students would have to understand how to apply that. 

As a student progresses, he would require a few
special skills, and an OS like GNU/Linux (or Linux
based distro) for System Administration would be good.
Anyways, it need not limit to just a single OS.
Similarly, programming paradigms are important as well.
