Just for the record, am going to check out qcad(http://www.ribbonsoft.com/qcad.html) along with gnuplot(http://www.gnuplot.info/) next so that i can give him a choice.Would you mind adding Varkon (http://www.tech.oru.se/cad/varkon/) to the list?
Sure i shall try out Varkon too, the more choice i can give that solidworks guy, the better.
