In my opinion, anything based on the Intel 945 chip-set should work out
of the box. Take a look at the Intel D945PSN mother board.
It supports the processors that you intend to use and should be very
cheap now. I guess even the 950 or 965 chip-set ones would work fine too.
The 102 GGC mother board doesn't run on an Intel chip set at all. May be
that caused all those issues.
