Though I guess this should be OK, I am surprised that you are not using jigdo to download. This is because there are Debian mirrors nearby (even in India, like ftp.iitm.ac.in) which have all packages, though not CD images. So, if one has the packages already or a faster non-CD/DVD mirror, jigdo would be the best. Besides, downloading individual packages reduces screw-up probability, rather than download a huge 4+ GB file...
