Since he is using a proxy server, he may have to change the port
settings that his pc uses for http, ftp, pop etc. if they are not the
same after the proxy was setup. An example taken from Nagarjuna. 'export
http-proxy=http://proxy_ip_addesss:new_port' This is necessary, to use
net from console. Firefox has its own settings separate in its GUI.
I don't know where dnscache and djbdns come into the picture. I don't
use it.
