Well, what I intended to say was that the GUI installer is quite
obvious to anyone who has seen the previous versions of the text-based
installer. However, it may not be declared as "user friendly" as the
Ubuntu ones.

Personally, however, I like the Debian installer more, since, in the
name of user friendliness, the Ubuntu installer does everything it's
way and doesn't allow me to tune anything till after the installation
is complete, with respect to package selection. But this may not be
the case for novice Linuxers or Debianers, who will be happy with the
default install.
