Does the CD (downloadable / shipit) come with
proprietary applications? I guess not. So, the
distribution is still Free Software.

Also, there's a restricted repository that distributes
non-free applications. I _assume_ there are
applications in Ubuntu Linux that still don't have the
same features as that of their proprietary alternative
(or interoperability). Skype for example. 

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
