Position Summary: Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications. Focuses on developing and maintaining applications used in the internationalization and localization of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, specifically for their native Language use. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Implement and maintain applications specific to their native language, such as input methods * Perform native language specific quality assurance of Linux Desktops * Participate in weekly team meetings and coordinate activities with dependant teams Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. * Bachelors Degree majoring in Information Technology or Computer Science or Arts/Languages. * Minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to read and interpret English language technical documents. Ability to speak native language and business level English * Computer Skills: Previous experience developing Linux Desktop applications. Understanding and experience with object-oriented design and coding. Experience developing applications for GTK/GNOME and QT/KDE. Knowledge of basic Software Engineering concepts: development models, testing, and documentation.
