List, I have created a How-to on configuring Kate to compile and/or run C, C++ and Java programs.

Explanations for the script are provided at the end of the document. They may not be complete and /may/ require corrections. If you locate any errors, please correct them. If one could put up a simple explanation of parameter expansion (PE) (the list archive has it) with respect to the script used, please do so. I'll be adding details about PE soon.
