I guess the two mini-laptops you are talking about are [1] and [2]. To me it seems a good deal for someone who needs a cheap, ultralight laptop, maybe for presentations or as a travel companion---lower hit if it gets stolen / lost :-) I wonder how sturdy these would be with regular use.
