No amount of AV paste over an os with holes that will put a sieve to 
shame is going to help.

The sooner you switch the lesser will be the pain. And switch you will 
have to - that is a guarantee - unless you accept the abysymal 
performance provided by M$ os.

You are better off with Debian (Ubuntu, Kubuntu), or RH

Simply download the dvds.

wget -c http://www.xx.yy.zz/abcd.iso
burn to dvd.

Verify the disk first. If it's corrupt you can get a new copy from 
Autodesk. If not getting a new cd wont help.
