I found this --> http://nrega.nic.in/ict/ict3.asp check the columns titled - No. of Applications Running and it shows number of 'applications' running on Microsoft platforms and those running on 'open source' platforms. Not too sure what this means. Why would for e.g some state have 450 s/w applications ??and why would they be all different? Does anybody know what exactly this means? I'm guessing they mean number of machines running on MS or open source. Whatever it is, the fact that open source has a count of 0 in most states is something worth looking into.
