Wrong! :) I'm running Debian Unstable and there are plenty of differences in the versions being used by Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex. Not to mention I've updated it frequently. Infact to get some "features" of Ubuntu, I needed to pull some packages from Debian's Experimental. Fact for you, Ubuntu had 2.6.27 kernel since ages. I think since Ibex was alpha.
