In /etc/mail/sendmail.mc, find this line:
DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')
and add dnl before it:
dnl DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')
Alternately, you could just delete the Addr=127.0.0.1,
