hi there everyone, i have adoubt, how can we have the system correctly boot with the required modules, if i have 2 kernels which differ only by a patch ?
i have compiled 2.4.17 and the same one with with a premptive patch. the system.map of both the kernels is in the boot and also i had compiled the modules of both the kernels, however the second kernel( preemptiv ) has overwritten the modules anyway. can i copy the modues of both of them as different directries in /lib/modules/ and have them loaded accoreding to the kernel from whihc i am booting the computer. regards -rahul __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
