sad but true. the structures for storing files *file systems 
aren't the same*. The file system that can be read through Linux 
is FAT, but it has poor security features.

sadly again, the hardware interface differs ... and vendors are 
just waking up. Matter of time I guess ... But you are always good 
with an external modem.

I have seen a case with a helpless friend with a hole burnt into 
his computer motherboard when a lightning struck his telephone 
pole. :).
