Hi, You can run "setup" from root. There go in "system services" and you can select the programs you wish to run. and stop.
Or you can go to this directory /etc/rc3.d ( 3 , 5 ) depends on your runlevel. There u will see many programs with prefix "K" or "S". "s" -> means start the progras.
