I think it is a little late for LB 2002, it will have to be LB 2003 since the earliest you can plan for is feb/march.
You will need sponserors. I think IBM and oracle will be big targets, and ofcourse, RedHat. I think ILUG members must be having contacts in these companies. There are some very good event management companies for such seminars. I know of 2 of them who do such seminars for Microsoft. And they do a very good job of it. Also, a few of the IBM seminars have been well managed. The IBM Developer-works live event was an example (I dont know if any of you attended).
