Ok, this is for everyone who ever thought of doing this...

       Don't use this list to do your homework.

The SMTP and POP3 protocols are extremely well documented.  If you plan 
on writing a client (for whatever reason), your first job would be to 
know the protocol by heart.  Make sure you can do SMTP and POP3 manually 
before you even write your first import statement (or #include or use, 
or whatever it is in your language of choice).
