Please do not encode RMS's speach in a propreitary VCD format. Though
it may take some time, I will help you convert the tapes into an open standard. We need not do any thing like this in a hurry.

Some people were interested in the audio of the speech. If you are
considering making the speech available for download in audio format.
You can use the ogg-vorbis format. take a look @ http://www.xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/ . Also encoders for ogg vorbis are easily
available and Winamp (for those still using windows :(() and Xmms support
the standard using plugins.
