1> i tried to recompile the kernel with ntfs R/W support( built in)....when it booted it could boot only up till LOADING NTFS: and then hung... i then tried to recompile with only ntfs R support but the same result....does 2.4.18-14 support ntfs.... 2> after recompiling the kernel when i do $make install it gives tons of error for which i cant use loadable modules...and due to which my sound driver and eth driver doesnt get loaded.. one thing i can do is make the drivers inbuilt...but thats not what i want...i want 'make install' to work..has someone faced the same problem.... -troy __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
