i am doing knoppix remastering.i want to work with "synaptic".for that i set $DISPLAY and exporetd it as follows.. #DISPLAY=myip:0.0///myip= my ip addr #export DISPLAY and then did #synaptic the error is ********************** Xlib: connection to "myip:0.0" refused by server Xlib no protocol specified GTK warning **: cannot open display: *********************** Then i tried #xhost + again the same error occured... plz can anybody help me to get around the problem and proceed with "synaptic" thanx in advance.... vivekanand __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
