i.e ASUS m/b with VIA chipset ASUS m/b has autocop which keeps a track of your motherboard temp and your CPU temp as well this is coded in the bios ASUS goes best with AMD (i am telling you this of my personal experience) i have 2 computers. 1 running on ASUS A7 Pro motherboard and AMD Duron 750MHz processor and is running for more than 3 years now(i hardly even shut down the machine) the 2nd machine is on ASUS A7V8X-X Motherboard and an AMD Athlon 2600+XP processor and is running for more than 6 months now(even this i dont shut down) NO HEATING PROBLEM FOR ME.... IF YOU WANT HIGH PERFORMACE AT CHEAP RATES...
