SAMBA is right way rahul........

I dont know if I'am perfectly right but each connection needs 1.5MB RAM which
should'nt be a problem in your case... whether you want raid on the server or not
depends on the level of mission critical docs on the server........

well there's an excellent utility at sourceforge which helps you change passwds of
samba users...

Backups are not a problem, since you can access the files from anywhere in the
office...ou can use "tar" to compress files...and store them on CD's with the name
Autocad12DEC2003.tar.gz for ex.

Make SAMBA the LMB and also remember to use the netlogon feature...

dont worry just url your way to http://www.harkness.co.uk/file_sharing/

Quite a good place to get a primer on samba....and then the good ol mailing list to
your rescue......way to go man....enjoy the SAMBA dance...

Yours Sincerely,

bijucyborg
