modprobe ne2k-pci (debian woody) or
lspci
read the results. A line like the one below will tell you all.
"01:08.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. 
RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)"
If not post the relevant output of lspci to the list.
